Wood Green Mennonite Church in London, England held its final regular worship service on March 20, 2016. Pray for Wood Green members as they explore options for a virtual community, and for Witness Workers Mike & Cheryl Nimz.

Steinbach Bible College invites applications for a .75 position as Executive Assistant to the President. This is a year-round salaried position with office hours from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm including an hour for lunch. The position requires flexibility in regards to hours, as some evenings and weekends are involved. This position will commence at the beginning of September 2016.

Reporting to the President, the incumbent will coordinate the president’s day-to-day details and schedule, plan and participate in event planning, coordinate travel arrangements, communicate and arrange church speaking engagements, data entry, update and format policies, and record and distribute meeting minutes. This position will also hire, oversee and evaluate reception staff, manage the college office including ordering supplies and equipment, customer service, and staffing schedules.

The successful candidate will be highly organized and detail oriented, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrate an ability to multi-task, and work independently. The individual will be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. An ability to maintain strict confidentiality is essential. A minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role is required.

Canadian Mennonite University Events and Opportunities for Church Bulletins


1.       Enjoy a Morning of Storytelling and Music with Hugo and Doreen Neufeld and Paul and Linda Dueck, Saturday, April 16, 10:30 AM at CommonWord, Marpeck Commons. Hugo will be reading from his recent book, “Words that Enlighten” – a combination of stories and commentary on how to talk about our faith in today’s culture. Stories and conversation will be interspersed with music by Paul and Linda Dueck with the Paraguayan harp.

5.      Freedom of Movement: The 9th annual conference of the Canadian Association for Refugees and Forced Migration Studies (CARFMS) will take place at Menno Simons College on May 11–14.
