The Bursary Committee is now accepting applications from summer camp workers and those attending a post-secondary Christian school this fall.  Forms can be picked up in the church office.

MC Manitoba is seeking a caretaker to live on-site at Camp Koinonia from September to May (rent free of charge).  The camp will be closed for the season, so no rental group hosting is required.  If interested please contact Dorothy Fontaine at 204-896-1616.

1.       Xplore announcements

Xplore: Keep Thinking: CMU Χplore offers courses that investigate dimensions of the Christian faith, our world, and life in it. All without any assignments or examinations! Classes run on Thursday mornings for 6 weeks, beginning October 6, and are held at Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Winkler. Courses include The Church in the Global South with Titus Guenther (Associate Professor Emeritus of Theology & Missions). For further information see cmu.ca/xplore.

 

2.      Register now for Take and Read: A Theological Book Discussion Group, led by Dr. Paul Doerksen, Associate Professor of Theology and Anabaptist Studies at CMU. This year’s theme is The Objects of Our Love: The Shaping Power of Attention. Space is limited to 30 participants—more information and registration at cmu.ca/takeandread.

 

3.       Evening Courses: CMU offers a number of evening courses as part of its undergraduate and graduate curriculum. These courses are available for audit or credit to students not enrolled in a full time program. 4.      Save the date: Fall Festival / CMU Shaftesbury Campus / September 23-24. Come celebrate with us during CMU's annual Fall Festival! Events include the Manitoba Screening of ‘Reserve 107 with Brad Leitch (Director), followed by panel and audience conversation.
