Dannach werden diese wieder zurück zum Gottesdienst kommen. Bitte betet für diesen Übergangszeit in unsere Gemeinde, und ganz besonders für die Leiter unsere Gemeinde.

Canadian Mennonite University Events and Opportunities for Church Bulletins

 

 

1.      CMU Open House October 21: A grade 9–12 ‘come and go’ opportunity designed for students to explore programs and opportunities at CMU. Join a campus tour, participate in a chapel, choir or a class - and enjoy free gelato. Drop in at Marpeck Commons on Friday, October 21 anytime between 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. 2.       Annual J.J. Thiessen LecturesThe Silence of Abraham, The Passion of Job: Explorations in the Theology of Lament with Dr. J. Richard Middleton, Professor at Northeastern Seminary (Rochester, NY), and past President of the Canadian Evangelical Theological Association. CMU Chapel, October 25 and 26. 3.      CMU’s Outtatown discipleship program is now accepting applications for fall 2017!  Travel. Learn. Serve. With the world as its classroom, Outtatown’s eight-month experiential learning program will guide you on a journey of faith and adventure. 4.       “Why Beauty Matters: Radical Amazement, Spirituality, and the Ecological Crisis” is the topic at CMU’s Face2Face on November 2 at 7:00 PM in the Marpeck Commons, 2299 Grant Ave. Presenters include mathematician Tim Rogalsky, biologist Rachel Krause, and engineer Randy Herrmann. 5.       Come worship with us at CMU Vespers, a monthly service of choral music. The Vespers season begins on Sunday, October 16 on the theme “In Gratitude”, with Shirley Bestvater conducting. This and all services this year will be held at 7:00 PM in the Laudamus Auditorium, 500 Shaftesbury Blvd. For more information see cmu.ca/vespers.

 

6.       CMU`s Orchestra in Residence, the Mennonite Community Orchestra, presents its fall concert on Sunday, October 30 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel. The orchestra will perform Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Vaughn Williams’ 5th Symphony, and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto #2, Second Movement, with Breanna Heinrichs, pianist. Admission is $15 for Adults, $5 for students, with children 12 and under admitted free. For more information see cmu.ca/events.

 

7.       CMU Study Tour to the Middle East (Jordan and Israel/Palestine): April 26-May 15, 2017. Join Gerald Gerbrandt, Professor Emeritus of Bible and Sheila Klassen-Wiebe, Associate Professor of New Testament  on a journey in time to the land of the Bible. Meet people working for peace and reconciliation today.
