CHURCH FAMILY INFORMATION

Tonight at 7:00 p.m., as we approach the end of an era at Steinbach Mennonite Church, we invite all members and recently released members to a communion service. In this special evening service we will have opportunity to reflect on our experiences of the past months and how we have felt the presence of God’s Spirit in our midst. We also want to ask where God may be leading us in the future and bless each other for the journey ahead. “Praise the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!” (Psalm 103:1)

We would like to express our appreciation to Katie Giesbrecht for the Card Ministry that she has carried on for our congregation for many years.

We have been notified that the rest of the Mulamba family is now on its way to Canada. We expect to greet them at the airport Mon., Feb.13th. Our refugee fund is almost depleted. We need additional donations to get this family on its feet. We estimate that we will need $10,000. Donations to the refugee fund are above budget, so mark your gifts “Refugee Assistance”. If, in the end, we find that we have more money in this fund than we need, the surplus will be sent to MCC for refugee assistance.

We pray a blessing for each of the following as we honour their request to be released from their membership at SMC:
Wanda Dueck                            Franz & Neta Enns
Graciela Enns                           Trevor Harder
Waldemar & Bertha Harder       Cornelius & Liliane Penner
Amanda Reimer                        Aline Sawatzky
Jason & Teresa Sawatzky
