Ending of German worship services: After many years of German worship services, initially as the only language and later in combination with English, this Sunday marks the end of German worship services at SMC. A closing celebration was held in the German service this morning to mark the end of a significant era in the life of our congregation.

In conjunction with the end of the German worship, the service of our German pastor, Fernando Hiebert, is also ending this month. His service was acknowledged during the German service earlier today. We want to wish him and his family God's blessing for the future!

PRAYER & PRAISE

Our sympathies and prayers go to Sally Steingart and the family and friends of Agnes Steingart, who passed away on Feb. 18th.

CHURCH FAMILY INFORMATION

Ryan Dueck sends his thanks for our recent congregational financial support. In his words, "The incredible thing is that every time we have started to feel over-stretched and over-burdened, God has done something amazing. . . . This week through the wonderful people of SMC, the church family I have always considered my home, he has done something that I can only describe by the words in Ephesians, 'immeasurably more than we can ask for or imagine.' Financially this takes a big burden off of us, . . . but maybe even more incredible is the renewal of hope and trust and peace that has filled our hearts. . . . Please pass along the most heartfelt thank you from Jenn and I to the congregation."

We pray a blessing for each of the following as we honour their request to be released from their membership at SMC:
Randy Dueck                        Ewald & Leonie Enns
Jacob & Katharina Enns                Elmer & Christina Giesbrecht
Jorrid Giesbrecht                            Maikel Giesbrecht
Ronni & Sylvia Hiebert      Artur & Selma Neufeld
Reinhold & Helga Sawatzky  Thomas & Karina Thiessen Erdman & Eiva Unrau
